Senior Data Scientist

Job Description

Alo is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of analytics and growth strategies across the business. The Senior Data Scientist will manage and analyze large data sets, develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms, and provide insights to drive business growth for retail operations.She will work with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions and enhance customer experience. She needs to have strong communication skills to convey complex findings to stakeholders.Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development of e-commerce and retail analytics and growth strategies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
• Developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large data sets.
• Building and maintaining dashboards and reports.
• Communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• PhD, or M.S. degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data science, including experience in DTC, e-commerce, or retail analytics.
• Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R and SQL.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and/or management skills.
• Proficiency in productionizing algorithms, using AWS and/or Azure.
• Self-starter attitude.
• Experience in start-ups or other fast-paced environments preferred.
• Experience and excitement partnering with Data Analytics and Data Engineering
• Currently based in the greater LA area or open to relocation and consent to working onsite full-time

The role offers:

• Base salary range $160,000-$200,000 per year
