Interactive Brokers is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to join their TOPS team in Greenwich, CT. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office and two days remote.The Technical Operations Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the health of applications, networks, and systems underpinning the Interactive Brokers global brokerage system. The role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving brokerage system operational issues, as also participating in post-incident reviews in collaboration with Software Development, customer service, and infrastructure teams. This role also provides internal 2nd-level technical support to various teams and monitoring batch scheduled jobs, escalating any delays or failures.Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health of applications, networks, and systems
- Analyze, troubleshoot, escalate and resolve operational issues
- Participate in Post-Incident review
- Provide internal 2nd-level technical support
- Monitor batch scheduled jobs
- Analyze existing business workflows and participate in developing new process monitoring tools
- Act as the primary escalation point for all technical issues
- Investigate and triage real time trade issues with internal and external parties
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- A Bachelor's in a financial or a technical discipline
- A working knowledge of general computing and networking concepts
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Ability to analyze and solve problems promptly and accurately
- Ability to work weekends and day/night shifts
