Bottomline is seeking a GT Ops Engineer to join their team in Geneva, Switzerland. This role is crucial for maintaining the availability and performance of business-critical GT Bureau environments, ensuring they meet customer SLAs. The GT Service Bureau is responsible for the daily operation of GT message processing platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in a global operation, be focused on service availability, and understand the importance of repeatable processes and automation. The GT Ops Engineer will have these responsibilities:
- Scoping, configuring, and reviewing alerts for rapid incident resolution.
- Developing runbooks for remediation.
- Monitoring GT platforms for environmental and customer issues.
- Escalating issues to Problem Management and development teams.
- Reporting on environment availability.
- Participating in service restoration during incidents.
- Creating and updating service recovery runbooks.
- Collaborating on "one-click" service recovery capabilities.
- Creating and distributing incident reports.
- Participating in incident avoidance action plans.
- Participating in the on-call rotation.
Requirements for the GT Ops Engineer role include:
- Fluency in English.
- Formal training in Computer Science or IT.
- Knowledge of SWIFT (desirable).
- Server administration experience on Linux environments.
- Experience with SQL and SQL Server.
- Experience automating tasks using Linux and Python scripts or automation tools (Jenkins, pipelines, Git / GitLab SCM, Ansible, puppet, terraform).
- A strong desire to work in a critical technical environment.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- MQSeries and certificate management skills (desired).
