Senior Software Engineer at Bottomline

Bottomline is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of their banking software in Geneva, Switzerland. The ideal candidate will participate in all phases of the SDLC, working within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality, bug-free software. The Senior Software Engineer will assist operations, solve customer issues, and actively participate in Agile/Kanban ceremonies, providing transparent reporting and knowledge sharing within the team.

This role involves:

• Development and maintenance of the banking software
• Writing technical designs (conception, architecture, data model)
• Coding on the platform
• Identifying and resolving incidents
• Assisting operations with subject matter expertise
• Solving customer issues
• Actively participating in Agile/Kanban ceremonies
• Providing transparent reporting to the team
• Helping other team members
• Sharing knowledge and implementing improvements

Requirements:

• Working experience in software development
• IT Master’s Degree or equivalent
• High understanding of all phases of SDLC and Agile methodology
• Strong coding experience in C language and shell script
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Git
• Coding experience in Java and JEE
• Experience with SQL (Oracle)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and French
