Interactive Brokers is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist (TOPS) to join their team in Chicago. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office and two days remote. The successful candidate will monitor and provide global operational support for the company's applications, systems, and critical business technology on a 24/7/365 basis.He/she will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Interactive Brokers' global brokerage system.Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the health of applications, networks, and systems.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving operational issues.
- Participating in Post-Incident reviews.
- Providing internal 2nd-level technical support.
- Monitoring batch scheduled jobs.
- Analyzing business workflows and developing new process monitoring tools.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for technical issues.
- Investigating and triaging real-time trade issues.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- A Bachelor's degree in a financial or technical discipline.
- A working knowledge of general computing and networking concepts.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
- The ability to analyze and solve problems promptly and accurately.
- Ability to work weekends and day/night shifts.
