Nozomi Networks is seeking a Security Research Technical Lead to spearhead their 0-day research efforts within their Security Research team. The ideal candidate will be based in Mendrisio at the EU Headquarters and will lead a team of security researchers, fostering a supportive and innovative research culture. This role involves diving deep into IoT and OT devices in a Swiss laboratory, utilizing cutting-edge techniques to discover and disclose new vulnerabilities in real-world environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of security researchers.
  • Discover, analyze, and disclose 0-day vulnerabilities.
  • Reverse-engineer undocumented protocols.
  • Work with emerging cybersecurity technologies.
  • Develop methodologies and tools for vulnerability research.
  • Simulate real-world attack scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Passion for vulnerability research.
  • Attention to detail and curiosity.
  • Strong methodological approach.
  • Interest in a managerial role.
  • Experience leading teams in 0-day research.
  • Strong skills in reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.).
  • Experience finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Ruby, or similar).
  • Expertise in analyzing binaries in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Ability to handle confidential research.
  • Full proficiency in both Italian and English.
