Senior Engineer at VGW

VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Engineering team in Poland. This role focuses on developing the back end of a new platform system designed to host millions of players, building the customer segmentation system. The Senior Engineer will tackle unique, large-scale challenges in a dynamic environment.

VGW hosts their Docker containerized apps on AWS, moving to EKS Kubernetes, running Kotlin on the JVM. TypeScript runs the client side with React. Databases include PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, with Snowflake as a data warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the back end of a new platform system.
• Building the customer segmentation system.
• Designing and optimizing systems for scalability and performance.
• Leading the delivery of technical projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with AWS or other cloud-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, JVM, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Flink, Kafka, or related databases and streaming services.
• Ability to design and optimize systems for scalability and performance.
• Able to lead the delivery of technical projects.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
