Senior Engineer at VGW

VGW, an interactive entertainment company delivering free-to-play games, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Engineering team in Perth. The Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring product features are delivered effectively, contributing to the design and architecture of the codebase and systems.

The role involves:

• Writing clean, well-structured code and automated tests.
• Managing source control.
• Implementing distributed event-driven architectures.
• Developing technical solutions and communicating them effectively.
• Ensuring product features are delivered effectively, as measured by lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, mean time to resolution and number of bugs in production.

Requirements are:

• Robust coding practices.
• A sense of ownership of the codebase and systems.
• Deep understanding of design and architectural decisions.
• Experience with cloud development (AWS).
• Experience with containerization (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
• Strong fundamental knowledge of OO and Functional programming paradigms.
