Job Description
LA28 is seeking a Senior Manager, Labor Relations to support its efforts in maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders impacting organized labor in Los Angeles and nationally. This role is crucial for ensuring excellence and cooperation for Games Time workforce operations. The Senior Manager will report to the SVP, People Management (Games Prep & Delivery) and collaborate cross-functionally within the business.Responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert on labor relations, developing and maintaining strong relationships with labor unions, and executing labor relations strategies that support LA28’s business goals. The role also involves serving as the primary point of contact for workforce and labor integrations for Games Time operations and providing guidance to the People Management team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on labor relations activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key labor unions and leadership.
  • Develop and execute labor relations strategies that support LA28's cooperative business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for workforce and labor integrations for Games Time operations.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to People Management team on labor relations, including strategic advice and risk assessment for Games Time operations.
Requirements include a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in labor relations, a deep understanding of federal and state labor laws, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in labor relations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong experience navigating collective bargaining agreements and resolving disputes.
  • Deep understanding of federal and state labor laws, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and applicable regulations in California.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
