Senior Manager, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing

Job Description

LA28 is seeking a Senior Manager, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) to join their Games Planning & Delivery group. This person will oversee the engineering works for temporary infrastructure and the integration of permanent infrastructure. The Senior Manager will manage external engineering resources and internal engineering teams, ensuring designs meet industry codes and standards, IOC requirements, and cost/schedule targets.

The role involves:

• Leading MEP engineering technical design and development.
• Overseeing technical development of temporary infrastructure and integration of existing infrastructure.
• Collaborating with architects and engineers to integrate MEP systems into building design.
• Preparing and overseeing the MEP portion of venue design books and technical publications.
• Managing and developing a review process for plans to meet departmental milestones.
• Supporting the development of integrated workplans and schedules.
• Partnering with Finance and Procurement teams to prepare costs and identify savings opportunities.

The requirements are:

• 5-10 years of mechanical, electrical or equivalent engineering experience with large infrastructure.
• Experience with temporary infrastructure and overlay, or equivalent experience with major infrastructure capital programs.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering and collaboration tools and software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Knowledge of key civil works, construction services, and activities.
• Accredited Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
