Affirm is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for their Portfolio ML team. This role focuses on building credit opportunity management models, contributing to profitability through cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will optimize loan opportunities, research solutions, and implement data pipelines.Role involves:
- Developing machine learning models using Affirm's proprietary and third-party data.
- Partnering with platform and product engineering teams.
- Researching solutions and developing prototypes.
- Implementing and scaling data pipelines, new features, and algorithms.
- Collaborating with engineering, credit, and product teams.
- Proficiency in machine learning (Generalized Linear Models, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning, Probabilistic Calibration).
- Strong engineering skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with distributed systems (Spark, Ray) is a plus.
- Experience with open-source projects (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, Kubeflow).
