Make, a leading visual platform for automation, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Olomouc, Czechia. This role involves working within a close-knit Data Engineering team that is part of the broader Analytics team. The Data Engineer will contribute to impactful business decisions by designing and implementing scalable solutions and collaborating cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines using Airflow.
  • Contribute to the development of data platform, building custom plugins and operators.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Translate complex business needs into effective data architecture and workflows.
  • Design and maintain data models aligned with business requirements.
  • Use SQL to build and optimize data models and serving layers.
  • Implement data governance best practices.
  • Develop and enforce data quality checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize workload effectively.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
  • Expertise in SQL and analytical data warehouses (preferably Snowflake).
  • Strong data modeling skills.
  • Understanding of data governance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
