Senior Software Engineer - Developer Productivity team at Make

Make is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Developer Productivity team in Prague, Czechia. Make is a leading visual platform that empowers individuals to design, build, and automate tasks, workflows, apps, and systems without coding skills.This role involves creating systems and workflows that enable engineering teams to build, ship, and innovate more efficiently. The candidate will remove obstacles, establish best practices, and provide essential components to streamline the development process. This position is ideal for someone passionate about solving complex problems, enhancing workflows, and enabling teams to focus on building outstanding products. Responsibilities:

• Develop services, libraries, and frameworks to streamline the development process.
• Improve and optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce build time and ensure stability.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leads to define performance and productivity indicators.
• Organize and lead internal workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Manage and enhance common developer tools (e.g., Github).
• Create reusable templates and blueprints to accelerate project development.
• Establish and refine standards to maintain efficiency, scalability, and governance.
• Shape the onboarding process by providing automated solutions for configuring local environments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of proven industry experience in back-end development.
• Familiarity with technologies like Node.js, Typescript, relational databases, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Redis.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD tools, and monitoring services such as Datadog
• Experience in using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Strong grasp of software design patterns, best practices, and programming paradigms.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong command of English (verbal & written).
