Sotheby's is seeking a Finance Manager in Hong Kong. The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, managing senior accountants, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will partner with the business director group and corporate functions.
Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly closing for Sotheby’s Hong Kong and Sotheby’s Retail Wine
- Prepare analysis and certain balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead in year-end budget planning and monthly forecast
- Liaise with Hong Kong and Global auditors
- Manage Asia audit
- Perform commission analysis on complex deals
- Prepare tax pack for group reporting
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and approve journals on SAP
- Identify areas of improvement and implement changes
- Participate in ad-hoc duties
Requirements: - Degree in Accounting, HKICPA /ACCA/ACA qualified
- 7 years+ of accounting and auditing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese/ or Mandarin
- Must be able to read and write Chinese
- Previous experience with SAP is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented and able to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours
