Sotheby's, a global leader in art and luxury, is seeking a Finance Manager for its Hong Kong office. This role involves managing financial reporting, FP&A, and ensuring compliance. The Finance Manager will oversee a team of senior accountants and partner with business directors.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly closing for Sotheby’s Hong Kong and Singapore
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly commentary on the P&L and forecast for Asia
Lead in year-end budget planning and monthly forecast
Liaise with global auditors for local and group audits
Perform analysis on complex auction deals
Review balance sheet reconciliations and approve journals on SAP
Payment approval
Identify areas of improvement in the current process and implement changes
Participate in ad-hoc duties and special projects
Requirements:
Degree level or equivalent, HKICPA /ACCA/ACA qualified
7 years+ of solid accounting and auditing experience (Big 4 trained preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English and Cantonese/ or Mandarin essential, must be able to read and write Chinese
Previous experience with SAP is a plus but not essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good organisational skills with proven ability of meeting deadlines
Detail oriented, set high demand in quality of work, effectively maintain confidentiality and preserve integrity of sensitive information/data
Ability to work under pressure, and a flexible approach to a wide range of tasks
Ability to work flexible hours in addition to normal business hours
