Job Description

Sotheby's is seeking an ambitious Paralegal to support their Corporate and Securities lawyers in London and New York. This role at Sotheby's involves a wide range of responsibilities, including board support, company secretarial tasks, governance, financing activities, and M&A support.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Group board support (meeting scheduling, board packs).
  • UK & US Company Secretarial tasks (filings, minutes).
  • Support capital needs via legal documentation.
  • Prepare and update standard legal documents.
  • Assist in subsidiary management.
  • Transactional support (due diligence, scheduling, authorities).
  • General administrative support (tracking legal spend).

Requirements:

  • Law degree/relevant legal qualification.
  • Paralegal or company secretarial experience.
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
