Pre Sale Coordinator

Sotheby's is seeking a Pre-Sale Coordinator to coordinate sales for the Old Masters and Sculpture departments in Paris. This role involves client contact, sales administration, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Pre-Sale Coordinator ensures the smooth execution of artwork sales, both public and private, in France and internationally. They are responsible for maintaining legal and financial compliance, meeting deadlines, and adhering to internal procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Creating client accounts and registering lots in the system.
• Preparing sales documents.
• Managing seller fees and commissions.
• Collaborating with transport and marketing departments.
• Handling documentation requests.
• Updating reporting tools.
• Promoting sales to potential buyers.
• Managing unsold lots.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in art market administration or project management.
• Excellent client relations and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and resolve problems.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Proficiency in IT tools, SAP knowledge is a plus.
