Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) to enhance developer productivity, particularly within Test Platform Engineering. This role focuses on enabling developers to efficiently manage automation tests. The SDET will contribute to the evolution of frontend and backend test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with the Engineering Manager to improve quality.Affirm is dedicated to scaling its products and seeks someone to build systems supporting financial products based on honesty and trust.What This Role Involves:
  • Owning, improving, and maintaining integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Designing and implementing technical solutions to optimize test execution and stability.
  • Mentoring development teams on quality assurance and test automation best practices.
  • Contributing to the evolution of the quality strategy.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation.
What We Look For:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer In Test.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
  • Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD systems.
  • Experience with Docker and AWS.
  • Strong background in quality assurance, test design, and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for improving consumer financial services.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills.
