Manufacturing Engineer - BIW

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Body in White (BIW) Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role in the development, launch, and operation of its new BIW production line equipment in Saudi Arabia. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside accomplished minds in the luxury electric vehicle industry and make a significant impact on the future of mobility.He/She will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, Line Builders, and Equipment Suppliers. The BIW Manufacturing Engineer will ensure the successful launch and smooth operation of the BIW production line.Responsibilities:

• Lead technical efforts for complex equipment engineering development.
• Develop, review, and buy-off manufacturing processes for new BIW production line projects.
• Manage production line buy-off at vendor sites.
• Coordinate cross-functional groups for onsite installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and procure items for station readiness for BIW line launches.
• Develop and implement BIW process quality control plans.
• Participate in PFMEA and develop control and reaction plans.
• Participate in equipment and process continuous improvement.
• Problem-solve manufacturing dimensional body accuracy issues.
• Implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
• Use 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in BIW Equipment / Manufacturing / Process Engineering.
• Experience in automotive BIW equipment design/operations.
• Experience with fixtures, spot welding, conveyors, robotics, material handling, vision systems, and measurement/metrology systems.
• Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
