Devops/MLOps Engineer - Assistant Vice President at iCapital

iCapital is seeking a DevOps/MLOps Engineer to join their DevOps Group in Lisboa, Portugal. The DevOps Group plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, reliable software delivery. The engineer will specialize in Data Engineering projects and MLOps.

The Assistant Vice president will think like an owner, helping move projects along, providing technical advisory capacities and be pro-active in continually automating and scaling our environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models.
• Collaborate with the Data team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of ML models.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of ML models in production.
• Write and update self-service tools used internally by developers.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of DevOps experience with at least 4 years of AWS experience
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools. (Gitlab, ArgoCD, Artifactory, etc)
• GitLab pipeline experience with using components a plus
• Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment is a must
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles 
• Able to code in Python or Ruby strongly desired
• Good knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform strongly desired
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• A desire to share, teach and learn as part of a team
