Algolia is seeking a Team Lead, Engineering (Generative IA) to join its AI Search Group. This role will lead an engineering team focused on applied Gen AI, enhancing Algolia's generative AI solutions. The Team Lead will combine search precision with AI creativity to redefine user interaction with information.
The candidate will define the team's technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high availability and performance of services. They will also collaborate with product managers and designers to shape the team's roadmap.
Role involves:
- Defining technical direction and strategy
- Mentoring front and back end software engineers and machine learning engineers
- Being responsible for technical decisions
- Designing and implementing monitoring and alerting
- Improving engineering quality, processes, and tooling
- Collaborating with product managers and designers
- Interfacing with a wide range of teams
Requirements:
- 2+ years of engineering management experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Data-driven decision-making mindset
- Fluency in Agile methodology
- Experience with AI software solutions
