Engineering Manager, Editor at Vimeo

Vimeo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Editor team in Tel Aviv, Israel. This role is central to Vimeo's creation area, focusing on enabling users to edit videos with features like adding images/videos, trimming, color adjustment, sound management, text animations, and effects.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring a team of Frontend and Backend developers.
• Managing projects from ideation to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Providing technical guidance.
• Promoting and implementing Agile methodologies.
• Participating in recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Conducting performance evaluations.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements.
• Enforcing coding standards and ensuring high-quality code.
• Staying updated with industry trends and fostering continuous learning.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years as frontend developer.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Typescript), CSS, React, and Redux.
• Experience with Python or PHP.
• Experience managing and delivering frontend projects.
• Proficiency in Agile environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
