Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Datapath Performance Test Engineer to join their QA team in Bangalore. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality of Pure Storage's Portworx suite of products.

The Datapath Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for datapath testing of the Cloud Native Storage product line and filing and owning related bugs. This includes documenting, debugging, and following up with development teams to reproduce issues. They will also own and drive features to completion, reviewing requirements, design documents, and customer use cases to build test strategies and end-to-end workflows. Building and scaling complex system tests and test ecosystems using virtualized environments and various test tools is another key aspect of the role. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and assist with reproduction work on customer escalations.

  • Datapath Testing for the Cloud Native Storage product line
  • Filing and owning related bugs
  • Own and drive features to completion
  • Build up and scale out of complex system tests and test ecosystems
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify root causes

Requirements:

  • Experience in Storage system Testing
  • Experience in testing snapshots, cloning, NFS
  • Knowledge of EXT4 FS
  • Experience in developing IO Profiles
  • Understanding how to benchmark typical linux system with different IO tools like FIO/vdbench/TPCC etc
  • Skilled in building out and working with Virtualized environments (ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, Dockers)
  • Comfortable with Linux environments
  • Team player, excellent communication skills, with strong multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent problem solver
  • K8s ecosystem understanding is a huge plus
  • 7+ years relevant work experience
  • B.S. in EE or CS or equivalent preferred
