Senior Accountant at Pure Storage

The Senior Accountant role at Pure Storage involves accurately recording financial transactions, performing account reconciliations, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. This role maintains the integrity of the company’s financial records and ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and posting journal entries for various financial transactions.
• Maintaining and updating supporting documentation for journal entries.
• Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Performing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures.
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems.
• Working cross-functionally with FP&A and other Business Partners to resolve issues impacting the financials.
• Conduct financial analysis, including fluctuation analysis and trend reporting.
• Assisting with day-to-day accounting functions.
• Assisting in the preparation of schedules supporting financial reports.
• Participating in special projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience in multinational public companies.
• Experience with ERP system, preferably Netsuite or SAP.
• Working knowledge on accrual, US GAAP concept, Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
