Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

Pure Storage, Inc. is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role involves managing the lifecycle of analytics dashboards and standard reporting. The candidate will design, develop, and implement BI solutions using Snowflake as the data warehouse platform, and create interactive business insights dashboards in Tableau.Responsibilities:

• Gather business requirements and write functional specifications.
• Prototype, develop, and perform quality testing.
• Implement user acceptance testing, roll-out, and post-launch enhancements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive and scalable datasets, processes, and documentation.
• Mentor junior teammates.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering of highly scalable data platforms/ecosystems.
• 5+ years’ experience in Snowflake with knowledge in distributed computing.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Pyspark.
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Experience with data integration, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, database design, and SQL.
• Familiarity with working with GTM data and exposure to Salesforce.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
