PitchBook is seeking a Sr. Sub-Editor, News to join their growing team in London. The Senior Sub-Editor, News will be responsible for editing, producing, and performing general quality assurance on PitchBook's newsletter and articles covering the private markets. The ideal candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and experience in business and financial news.

Role Involves:

  • Edit articles and newsletters for a professional audience
  • Rewrite headlines and leads
  • Ensure stories meet editorial standards
  • Prioritize editing assignments
  • Collaborate with editors on content strategy
  • Enforce editing standards
  • Produce and publish newsletters
  • Edit data visualizations
  • Train and develop newer copy editors and writers
  • Use project management tools
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of editing experience in a financial news environment
  • Passion for private capital markets
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with financial markets and terminology
  • Previous experience working with data
  • Familiarity with online content management systems and project management software
  • Familiarity with Associated Press or in-house style guides
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
