Principal Product Manager, Virtualization

Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive the evolution and innovation of its virtualization technologies. This role involves leading the company's virtualization-related business by developing and overseeing the virtualization-focused product strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills and business acumen, with a proven track record of effective communication and collaboration across all organizational levels.

• Act as a central point of contact across Product, Engineering, GTM, and finance.
• Perform business analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Partner with leadership to set business growth targets.
• Drive the execution of the virtualization strategy.
• Assess the competitive landscape and predict trends.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, sales, and marketing.
• Gather customer feedback and conduct market analysis.
• Engage with key account field sales teams and channel partners.
• Serve as a spokesperson and evangelist for Pure Storage.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Marketing, or Marketing.
• Experience with VMware, Kubernetes, or core infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, and SAP HANA use cases.
• Technical expertise with VMware vSphere technologies.
• Understanding of storage technologies and use cases.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and storage integrations.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
