Pure Storage is seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to be based in Johannesburg. The role involves developing a deep understanding of customer business drivers, advocating for Pure Storage solutions, and refining sales strategies. The engineer will provide technical leadership, manage evaluations and benchmarks, and deliver product presentations. They will also capture requirements, author responses to RFIs/RFPs, and collaborate with marketing.

Role Involves:

  • Understanding customer business needs

  • Managing evaluations and benchmarks
  • Delivering technical presentations
  • Authoring responses to RFI & RFPs

Requirements:

  • Pre-sales experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise storage, networking, or systems solutions sales
  • Deep understanding of storage architectures
  • Strong Channel technical relationships
  • Experience targeting new prospects
  • Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience
