Pure Storage is seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join their team in Istanbul, Turkey. This role is crucial in driving customer business and showcasing the advantages of Pure Storage solutions. The ideal candidate will refine sales strategies, provide technical leadership, and delight customers with expertise in storage products and architectures.

The Systems Engineer will be based in Istanbul and is expected to be in the office 3 days a week, adhering to Pure Storage's Hybrid Work Policy.

Role Involves:

  • Developing an understanding of customer's business drivers and decision-making processes.
  • Highlighting the advantages of Pure Storage solutions.
  • Refining sales strategies and tactics, taking command of technical responsibilities
  • Technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products
  • Managing evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations.
  • Building and delivering technical product and architecture presentations.
  • Translating customer needs into innovative solutions.
  • Authoring responses to RFI & RFPs.
  • Liaising with product and technical marketing.
  • Staying current with the competition and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Based in Istanbul, with office presence required 3 days a week.
  • 5-10 years of pre-sales experience in enterprise storage, networking, or systems solutions.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
  • Experience in targeting and converting new prospects into clients.
  • Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN).
  • Knowledge of UNIX OS, NFS file systems, and UNIX distributed network environments.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • BS in CS, EE, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with modern web architecture (LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, NoSQL alternatives).
  • Application knowledge is highly desirable.
