Senior Manager, Systems (Pre-sales) Engineering - Milan, Italy at Pure Storage

Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Manager, Systems (Pre-Sales) Engineering to drive pre-sales technical strategy, market expansion, and partner engagement in Italy. This role requires a deep understanding of business drivers, go-to-market strategies, and industry trends.

The Senior Manager will report to the Director SE EMEA South and lead a team of direct reports and indirect technical specialists. The ideal candidate will define and execute growth strategies, strengthen partner relationships, and align technical resources with sales objectives.

Role involves:

• Developing and executing a business plan for Italy, identifying growth opportunities in AI, Healthcare, Public Cloud, and Cyber Resilience.
• Building and strengthening relationships across the partner and channel ecosystem to drive business growth.
• Leading and developing a high-performing team of pre-sales engineers.
• Ensuring technical resources effectively support sales engagements, proof of concepts, and technical sales presentations.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering leadership within the IT industry.
• Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
• Proven expertise in partner/channel management and ecosystem expansion.
• Deep understanding of AI, Cloud, Security, and Cyber Resilience trends.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at executive and technical levels.
• Native/bilingual Italian and business-proficient English.
• Must be based in Milan or willing to relocate.
