Pure Storage is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join their Sales team in Taiwan. The System Engineer will use their technical knowledge to drive sales and adoption of Pure Storage solutions among potential and current enterprise/large accounts clients. They will work with clients to understand their business goals and challenges, and propose innovative solutions in collaboration with key alliance partners. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with various teams, including pre-sales, sales, marketing, and leadership, to expand the business with the full Pure Storage portfolio.
The role involves:
- Understanding Taiwan customer’s business and decision-making
- Connecting technology solutions to customer business outcomes
- Partnering with account managers and channel partners
- Highlighting the advantages of Pure Storage solutions
- Refining sales strategy and tactics
- Leading evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
- Delivering technical presentations
- Translating customer needs into innovative solutions
- Authoring responses to RFI & RFPs
- Promoting roadmap and planning exchanges
- Liaising with product and technical marketing
Requirements:
- Creativity, empathy, an open mind, curiosity and a desire for continuous learning
- Taiwan Pre-sales experience is required
- 10+ years relevant experience in technology, design, and communications
- Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software
- Understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Experience targeting and converting new prospects
- Knowledge of storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
- Familiarity with Linux, NFS, AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, k8s
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- BS in CS, EE, or technical degree
