Job Description

Tide is seeking a Finance Risk & Control Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Tide’s global Finance function. He will develop, document, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices, and mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in Financial Accounting and Operations, interpreting relevant regulations and advising on Tide’s approach to compliance. Working closely with Financial Reporting & Control, FP&A, Treasury, Reconciliations, and Procurement, he will ensure that key business processes are accurately translated into procedures, with embedded quality assurance and control measures.

The role involves:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures for key finance and accounting processes.
  • Conducting process mapping and analysis to document existing workflows and identify key control points.
  • Providing training and support to Finance team members on new and existing policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring adherence to established policies and procedures across the Finance function.
  • Staying informed of regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Overseeing the implementation of new policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a finance/accounting role with a focus on policies and procedures.
  • Proven expertise in developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
  • Experience in process mapping and analysis techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
  • Experience in a finance, banking, or regulated environment is a plus.
