Staff Product Security Engineer

Job Description

Tide is seeking a Staff Product Security Engineer to join its Security Engineering team in Hyderabad. The company, which provides a business management platform for small businesses, has over 1 million users worldwide and offices in multiple countries.

The Product Security team focuses on application and cloud security. The ideal candidate will be passionate about security and resilient software development processes, proactively hunting for vulnerabilities, and effectively communicating security concerns to various stakeholders.

Role involves:

• Diving deep into mobile and web app technologies to understand feature development and proactively hunt for vulnerabilities.
• Securing cloud-native applications and ensuring security best practices are applied.
• Guiding developers in secure design principles through threat modeling.
• Remediating vulnerabilities via strategic initiatives, patches, or vulnerability tickets.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in Application Security.
• Leveraging automation and security tools to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentoring and coaching junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge across AppSec topics.
• Proficiency with Burp Suite.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating vulnerabilities and advocating for remediation.
• A blog, public speaking engagements, bug bounty profile, or Git repository showcasing work.
• Comfortable writing proof-of-concept scripts.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud-native applications.
