Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join their Product Security team in Delhi NCR, India. This role is part of the broader Security Engineering team, which includes Product Security, Threat Detection & Response, and Identity.

The Senior Application Security Engineer will focus on securing Tide's web and mobile applications and cloud environment. They will proactively hunt for vulnerabilities, work with engineering teams on remediation, and stay updated on Infosec trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into mobile and web app technologies to understand feature development and hunt for vulnerabilities.
  • Secure cloud-native applications, ensuring consistent application of security best practices.
  • Conduct threat modeling and guide developers in secure design principles.
  • Help remediate vulnerabilities through strategic initiatives, writing patches, or creating actionable vulnerability tickets.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Application Security.
  • Enable secure development by making security "invisible" when possible.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers.
  • Leverage automation and security tools to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Broad and deep knowledge of AppSec topics.
  • Proficiency with Burp Suite (or similar attack proxy).
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Experience with securing cloud-native applications.
  • A blog, public speaking engagements, bug bounty profile, or a Git repository showcasing work is a plus.
  • Comfortable writing proof-of-concept (POC) scripts.
