Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join its Security Engineering team in Bengaluru, India. The successful candidate will be passionate about security and resilient software development processes, hunting for vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications, and working with engineering teams to remediate them. This role at Tide involves explaining security issues to stakeholders and staying updated with industry trends. The Application Security Engineer will be a subject matter expert in Application Security.

As a Senior Product Security Engineer, this role involves:

  • Regularly diving deep into mobile, web app technologies for vulnerability hunting.
  • Securing cloud-native applications and applying security best practices.
  • Leading Threat modelling and guide developers in secure design principles.
  • Remediating vulnerabilities through strategic initiatives.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
  • Leveraging automation and security tools to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements for this role include:

  • AppSec knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Burp Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience securing cloud-native applications.
