Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and running data pipelines and services to support marketing and business functions, reporting, and decision-making. The role involves working with BigQuery/Snowflake, Airflow, Stitch/Fivetran, dbt, Tableau/Looker, and AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Designing and implementing scalable processes for data extraction, processing, and analysis.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Improving data pipeline delivery.
  • Owning the delivery of data models and reports.
  • Performing exploratory data analysis and ensuring data quality.
  • Optimizing data feeds and ensuring availability.
  • Applying and championing data warehouse governance.
  • Building Looker dashboards.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of development experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse technology.
  • Experience with dbt and other modern data stack technologies.
  • Experience in agile processes (SCRUM).
  • Extensive experience in writing advanced SQL statements and performance tuning.
  • Experience in data ingestion techniques.
  • Experience in data modeling.
  • Experience in data mining, data warehouse solutions, and ETL.
  • Experience in architecting analytical databases (Data Mesh architecture).
  • Experience working in agile cross-functional delivery teams.
  • High development standards for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Business-level English and good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of AWS platform systems (Good to have).
