Tide is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to build and run data pipelines and services supporting marketing and business functions. The engineer will work within a Data Mesh architecture, collaborating with Data Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications. They will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, improving data pipeline delivery, and ensuring data model and report delivery. The role involves exploratory data analysis to identify and prevent data quality issues, optimizing data feeds, and applying data warehouse governance. The engineer may also build Looker dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines
- Designing and implementing scalable, automated processes for data extraction, processing, and analysis.
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
- Improving data pipeline delivery.
- Owning the delivery of data models and reports end to end.
- Performing exploratory data analysis.
- Building Looker Dashboards.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of extensive development experience using Snowflake or similar data warehouse technology.
- Working experience with dbt, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Fivetran, AWS, git, and Looker.
- Experience in agile processes, such as SCRUM.
- Extensive experience in writing advanced SQL statements and performance tuning them.
- Experience in Data Ingestion techniques using custom or SAAS tool like Fivetran.
- Experience in data modelling and optimizing data models.
- Experience in data mining, data warehouse solutions, and ETL.
- Experience working in agile cross-functional delivery teams.
- High development standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, CI/CD.
- Strong technical documentation skills and communication skills.
- Business-level English.
