Tide is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to join their team. The role involves building and running data pipelines and services to support marketing and business functions, reporting, and decision-making. The candidate will work with BigQuery/Snowflake, Airflow, Stitch/Fivetran, dbt, Tableau/Looker, and AWS with some GCP.

Role Involves:

  • Developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines with Data Analysts.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing scalable, automated data processes in a Data Mesh architecture.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Improving data pipeline delivery.
  • Owning the delivery of data models and reports.
  • Performing exploratory data analysis and implementing data quality tests.
  • Optimizing data feeds.
  • Discovering, transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data sources.
  • Applying and championing data warehouse governance.
  • Building Looker dashboards.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of development experience using Snowflake or similar data warehouse technology.
  • Experience with dbt and other technologies of the modern data stack.
  • Experience in agile processes, such as SCRUM.
  • Extensive experience in writing advanced SQL statements and performance tuning.
  • Experience in Data Ingestion techniques using custom or SAAS tool like Fivetran.
  • Experience in data modeling and optimizing existing/new data models.
  • Experience in data mining, data warehouse solutions, and ETL.
  • Experience in architecting analytical databases (in Data Mesh architecture) is an added advantage
  • Experience working in agile cross-functional delivery teams.
  • High development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong technical documentation skills and the ability to be clear and precise with business users.
  • Business-level of English and good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of various systems across the AWS platform (Good to have)
