Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join their team in Hyderabad, India. The company is a finance platform for small businesses, providing business accounts and related services. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will work with business and technology teams to understand data-related challenges and opportunities, lead the implementation of the Data Governance Policy and Framework, and define the implementation roadmap.

The role involves:

  • Building awareness and managing communication to help Tide become a data-driven organization.
  • Defining data governance implementation roadmap.
  • Facilitating working groups, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Capturing and facilitating resolution of data quality issues.
  • Defining data quality rules for automated measurement and reporting.
  • Contributing to the creation of policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Implementing Atlan as a strategic metadata tool.
  • Cooperating with Data Stewards to define data glossary, data classification and integrate data sources in order to enable value streams.
  • Acting as the de facto “product owner” for technical tools and product features.

Tide is looking for someone who:

  • Is a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Is a good communicator and can easily build rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Has a passion to work with others to define and improve standards and processes.
  • Understands data governance concepts and has experience in practical implementation.
  • Is familiar with Data Catalogues and Data Quality/Observability tools.
  • Has experience in the financial services industry.
  • Has a collaborative style and agile mindset.
  • Has familiarity with the technical implementation of data privacy laws, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Knows basics of SQL and has experience in building visualizations using BI Tools.
