Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in Hyderabad, India. This role involves contributing to Tide's event-driven Microservice Architecture and helping to define and maintain services. The candidate needs to translate user needs, business opportunities, and regulatory requirements into well-engineered solutions. The Senior Backend Engineer will work in Java 17, Spring Boot, and JOOQ, and will use RESTful APIs, SNS+SQS and Kafka, and PostgreSQL via Aurora.

Role involves:

  • Contributing to the event-driven Microservice Architecture
  • Defining and maintaining services
  • Using Java 17, Spring Boot, and JOOQ
  • Exposing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Using SNS+SQS and Kafka to send events
  • Utilizing PostgreSQL via Aurora as the primary datastore
  • Deploying services to Production
  • Collaborating with Product Owners

Requirements:

  • Experience building server-side applications
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of a backend framework (e.g. Spring/Spring Boot)
  • Experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment
  • Demonstrated mindset of delivering secure, well-tested, and well-documented software
