Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer to join their Platform Security team. This role is based in Delhi NCR, India, and focuses on safeguarding cloud environments.

The Senior Platform Security Engineer will collaborate with the Platform Team, Risk Team, and Engineering teams to enhance cloud resource visibility and ensure secure infrastructure configuration. The engineer will be responsible for securing Tide's cloud infrastructure and protecting its members, partners, employees, and intellectual property.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing next-generation cloud infrastructure with up-to-date security measures.
  • Defining and embedding security best practices into cloud engineering teams.
  • Building guardrails and defining IAM policies for least privilege.
  • Identifying and preventing new security misconfigurations via Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Hardening existing cloud infrastructure.
  • Reviewing cloud integrations with third parties and acting as a point of contact for cloud security incidents.

Requirements:

  • Good infrastructure security experience with a passion for tackling risks from misconfigurations.
  • Deep expertise in at least one public cloud, preferably AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes and securing workloads in a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Familiarity with the cloud-native approach to implementing workloads in Kubernetes.
  • Comfortable writing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Ability to review and write Terraform and propose improvements to external providers.
  • Proficiency in writing reliable software in Python or Go.
  • Experience in running and maintaining software, operating a large cloud deployment, or creating and triaging security alerts.
  • Strong teamwork and partnership skills.
