Senior Platform Security Engineer

Job Description

Tide is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer to join its Platform Security team in Bengaluru, India. The company is dedicated to providing small businesses with business accounts and administrative solutions, currently serving over 1 million small businesses globally. As a Senior Platform Security Engineer, the candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding cloud environments and protecting members, partners, employees, and intellectual property.

The Platform Security team works closely with the Platform Team, Risk Team, and broader Engineering teams, focusing on enhancing the visibility of cloud resources and ensuring secure infrastructure configuration. The role involves designing next-generation cloud infrastructure, embedding security best practices, building guardrails for IAM, hardening existing cloud infrastructure, and reviewing cloud integrations.

Role Involves:

• Designing next generation cloud infrastructure
• Defining and embedding security best practices
• Building guardrails and defining policy around IAM
• Identifying and remediating security misconfigurations.
• Hardening existing cloud infrastructure.
• Reviewing cloud integrations with third parties.
• Acting as a point of contact for cloud security incidents.

Requirements:

• Good infrastructure security experience.
• Expertise in at least one public cloud (AWS or GCP preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and workload security.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in reviewing and writing Terraform.
• Ability to write reliable software in Python or Go.
• Operations experience in running and maintaining software and cloud deployments.
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Self-driven with the ability to identify and execute high-impact tasks.
• Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge.
