Tide is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their Developer Productivity team in Sofia. This role focuses on empowering developers by streamlining workflows, maintaining internal tools, upgrading dependencies, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and implementing coding standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, CI/CD pipelines, frameworks like Spring Boot, and DevOps practices. They should also possess strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.

The Staff Backend Engineer will be responsible for optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing internal libraries, developing code quality tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, establishing coding best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and staying current with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead optimization of CI/CD pipelines and drive dependency upgrades.
  • Manage and improve internal libraries.
  • Develop tools and automation for code quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and advocate for best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Analyze and optimize engineering workflows.
  • Stay current with emerging tools and technologies.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript) and frameworks (Spring Boot).
  • Deep understanding of code quality tools.
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Independent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with internal libraries and dependency management.
  • Passion for continuous learning.
