Tech Programmer at Metacore

Metacore, a mobile game company based in Helsinki and Berlin, is seeking a skilled Tech Programmer to join the Merge Mansion Tech Team. The Tech Programmer will enhance the platform that drives the entire development process. The selected candidate will work closely with developers across all areas to tackle technical challenges, improve development speed, and manage long-term project viability.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with developers through consulting, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Developing the architecture of the game and creating APIs.
• Establishing code conventions and standards.
• Profiling and analyzing the game to identify and solve performance issues.
• Improving processes and workflows, and removing development bottlenecks.
• Reviewing and updating external dependencies, including SDKs, plugins, and packages.
• Providing technical leadership in projects to drive them to completion.

Requirements:

• Extensive understanding of C#.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Unity Engine.
• Deep understanding of programming patterns and anti-patterns.
• Experience working with different platforms, including iOS and Android.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of working with an ever-growing code-base.
• Ability to detect weak points in the codebase and provide better architectural proposals.
