Job Description
Appian is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) to ensure customer success and drive growth through technology expertise. The TDM will manage innovative solutions built on the Appian platform, overseeing agile delivery and risk management. This role involves close collaboration with sales and customer success teams to drive results and growth at strategic accounts.
The TDM will engage in project management, account management, relationship building, financial management, opportunity qualification, problem identification, project definition, demand generation, and account strategy.
This position is based at Appian's headquarters in McLean, VA, with an expectation of being in the office 5 days a week to foster collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a book of business using financial management tools and metrics
- Leading agile delivery teams and managing enterprise scale technology programs
- Collaborating with architects and product designers to design and deliver compelling solutions
- Understanding customer’s strategic goals and positioning technology to meet them
- Developing application roadmaps with customers
- Building compelling business cases for investments
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships
Requirements:
- Experience managing a book of business using financial management tools and metrics
- Experience leading agile delivery teams and managing enterprise scale technology programs
- Experience understanding customer’s strategic goals and positioning technology
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships
- Intellectual curiosity and a bias for action
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven background in support State & Local Government contracts
- 5+ years of experience in an agile delivery environment with at least 1 year of experience leading a team
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field/degree
- Willingness to travel; 10% or less annually to support customer engagement
