Job Description

LivePerson is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their team. The company is a global leader in enterprise conversations, offering a Conversational Cloud platform used by numerous brands. In this role, the engineer will contribute to the LivePerson Tenfold product, a cloud-based SaaS solution hosted on GCP.

The Software Development Engineer II will work on the customer-facing application, focusing on stability and innovation. The individual will build components, add new features, and create new APIs.

Role Involves:

  • Architecting, designing, and implementing business software and APIs.
  • Collaborating with Product Management to create user experiences.
  • Creating platform-independent code.
  • Participating in architecture, coding, testing, and deployment decisions.
  • Producing engineering specifications and delivery estimates.
  • Providing technical documentation.
  • Collaborating with peers on specifications, code reviews, and testing.
  • Writing unit and automated tests.
  • Meeting KPIs for the engineering team.
  • Communicating with customers and partners.
  • Participating in daily standups, sprint planning, grooming sessions, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience writing code with TypeScript, Javascript, Node.js, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience building applications using MongoDB.
  • Experience with data aggregation models for multiple data sources.
  • Experience building Enterprise class Multi-tenant SaaS application platform
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Nock.
  • Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
