Data Infra Tech Lead

Job Description

Melio is seeking a Data Infra Tech Lead to join their Data Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will drive the company’s data capabilities at scale, ensuring efficient and seamless data management through robust and reliable infrastructure. This role involves leading the design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data and machine learning models into products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and secure data systems.
• Define and drive best practices for CI/CD processes.
• Oversee and optimize the machine learning platform.
• Own and develop the company-wide LLM infrastructure.
• Own the company's feature store.
• Architect and implement real-time event processing solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data and machine learning models.
• Ensure data systems comply with data governance requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineers.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in data infra or backend engineering.
• Strong knowledge of data services architecture and ML Ops.
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Data Warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Proficiency in backend programming languages (Python, NodeJS, etc.).
• Proven leadership experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
