Job Description
Melio is seeking an Outbound Account Executive to focus on Small & Medium Businesses (SMBs) or Accounting/Bookkeeping firms. This role is based in a hybrid work environment in New York City, requiring 3 days in-office.Melio is on a mission to keep small businesses in business by simplifying B2B payables and receivables.Role involves:
  • Prospecting and generating a pipeline of qualified leads through outbound outreach.
  • Conducting discovery calls to understand pain points and position Melio as a value-driven solution.
  • Delivering customized product demos to stakeholders.
  • Managing the full sales cycle and maintaining accurate pipeline data in Salesforce.
  • Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders and providing feedback to improve product-market fit.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of full-cycle, outbound sales experience in SaaS, fintech, or B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to hit and exceed quota in outbound/new business roles.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Experience selling with a defined sales methodology (Sandler preferred).
  • Consultative mindset with the ability to identify pain points and tailor value.
  • Experience with SMBs, accounting/bookkeeping firms, or financial platforms is a plus.
