The Senior GCP Cloud Engineer will be responsible for engineering production-quality code, architecting microservices, and collaborating with DevOps teams. This role involves working within EST business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer production-quality code.
• Architect, design, and implement microservices using Spring Boot and Java in a GCP environment.
• Develop RESTful APIs.
• Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Build and manage event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Design and maintain high-availability systems.
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability solutions.
• Ensure security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong background in microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java (with Spring Boot), Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks like Apache Kafka.
• Understanding of DevOps culture and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, BitBucket, Ansible).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Expertise in both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Understanding of security principles, data encryption, and securing data at rest and in transit.
• Experience with building real-time, high-availability systems.
