Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Senior Manager of Government Relations and Public Policy, EMEA, to join its growing team. This role involves working closely with the legal team and business to track, assess, and communicate policy evolutions, and contribute to the development and execution of Twilio's engagement strategy, representing the company to EU institutions, governments, and authorities in EMEA.

The Role Involves:
  • Proactively monitor and track Policy developments relevant to Twilio at EU and national level in EMEA.
  • Analyse and assess policy and regulation for relevance and impact on Twilio, preparing information materials and communicating with internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of policy positions and work with the GRPP team to develop and maintain an effective engagement strategy with stakeholders.
  • Routinely engage and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in trade association meetings, and working groups on behalf on Twilio.
  • Attend events in person, including in the EU institutions, for stakeholder relationship development, and information/reporting purposes.

Requirements:
  • At least 12 years of relevant public policy and advocacy experience in technology, digital, telecoms, or other relevant sectors with a Bachelor's Degree, 8 years with a Master's Degree or 5 years experience with a PhD.
  • A keen understanding of EU politics and policy, EU legislative processes and government relations.
  • Skillful in building effective relationships, demonstrating foresight and strategic thinking on public policy implementation.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative spirit and ability to work independently.
  • Critical thinking, good judgment, and ability to balance priorities, resources in order to deliver on concurrent projects.
  • Ability to plan and execute meetings with stakeholders, representing the company in relevant events and meetings.
