Job Description

Twilio is seeking a Crisis and Continuity Advisor to support the development, implementation, and management of the crisis management function. The advisor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational resilience and the ability to recover from disruptive events, minimizing impact on business processes.

This position reports to the Director, Operational Resilience, and plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment through customer engagement and trust.

In this role, the Crisis & Continuity Advisor involves:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a crisis management framework.
  • Collaborating with business units to assess operational resilience requirements.
  • Leading the design and supporting the implementation of business continuity plans, disaster recovery procedures, and crisis management protocols.
  • Developing and delivering crisis management tabletops, notification testing, simulations, and drills.
  • Preparing and presenting reports on operational crisis management initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5+ years in the private sector, or 3+ years in the public sector with 2+ years in the private sector, proven experience in crisis management and business continuity.
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading in a crisis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
