Job Description
RightShip is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Malta. The ideal candidate will help build world-class data-driven products to solve challenging problems in the maritime industry. This role involves maintaining and improving quality across critical data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean and efficient code on both server and client sides.
- Participate in requirements analysis.
- Make key decisions for successful implementation of initiatives.
- Coach and mentor peers.
- Collaborate with co-workers on complex developments.
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
- Monitor system activities and provide support.
- Test outputs to ensure excellent working order.
- Stay updated with coding and technological changes.
- Research and keep up to date with latest best practices
- Work closely with QA / Tech Design / Data Engineers and Architects to deliver solutions that can scale
Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with C#.
- Experience applying and inspiring engineering discipline within the team.
- Advanced proficiency in C#, SQL, and Typescript.
- Experience using frameworks such as Angular / Aurelia / React.
- Experience in the Azure Stack is advantageous.
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Preferably experience using No-SQL Databases
- Experienced with concurrency and asynchronous programming
- In-depth knowledge with Micro Services Architecture.
- Adept at working with cross-functional groups across multiple geographies.
- Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
